NEW YORK — Carter Bryant has continued to climb NBA draft boards following a strong 2025-26 season that drew attention from scouts and league executives ahead of the 2026 NBA Draft, according to analysts and team officials speaking this month.
Bryant, a versatile forward known for his defensive ability and perimeter shooting, emerged as one of the notable risers during the pre-draft process after helping his program reach postseason competition during the 2025-26 campaign. Several draft analysts, including those from major U.S. sports networks and scouting services, have projected Bryant as a possible first-round selection in recent mock drafts released in May.
League scouts cited Bryant’s combination of size, athleticism and defensive versatility as factors behind his rising profile. One Western Conference scout told reporters during the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago that Bryant “showed consistent growth throughout the season and competed well against high-level opponents.”
Bryant’s performances during conference play and postseason tournaments also contributed to increased interest from NBA teams, according to draft observers. While details of individual team evaluations remain private, executives and scouts attending combine workouts said Bryant interviewed with multiple franchises selecting in the middle portion of the first round.
The 2026 draft class has been viewed by analysts as deep in wing talent, increasing competition among prospects entering the final weeks before the draft.
