NEW YORK — Serena Williams, the 23-time Grand Slam singles champion, announced on Monday that she is launching a new multimedia production company, 926 Productions, and has entered a first-look television deal with Amazon Studios.

The venture marks a significant expansion of the 44-year-old athlete’s business portfolio, which already includes the venture capital firm Serena Ventures. According to a statement released by her representatives, 926 Productions will focus on developing scripted and unscripted projects, aiming to elevate female and diverse voices in the entertainment industry.
