LOS ANGELES — Ronda Rousey submitted Gina Carano with an armbar in 17 seconds on Saturday to win the main event of MVP MMA 1 at the Intuit Dome.

The fight, which headlined the first MMA card streamed live globally on Netflix, marked Rousey’s return to the sport after nearly a decade away. Carano, making her own comeback, was unable to defend the submission.
