WASHINGTON — U.S. President Donald Trump's businesses generated more than $2.2 billion in income in 2025, according to an annual financial disclosure report released Tuesday by the U.S. Office of Government Ethics, more than triple the over $600 million he reported for 2024.
The roughly 927-page filing shows more than $1.4 billion of the total came from cryptocurrency-related ventures, according to the disclosure. World Liberty Financial, a crypto firm co-founded by Trump and his sons in 2024, generated several hundred million dollars in income, the filing shows, while royalties tied to the $TRUMP meme coin and related entities, funneled through a company called CIC Digital, contributed hundreds of millions more, according to the report.
The disclosure also lists $77.4 million in revenue from Trump's Mar-a-Lago club and $121.8 million from his Doral, Florida, golf resort, the filing shows. Additional income included payments tied to properties in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, according to the report.
Asked about the disclosure, Trump told reporters he does not personally manage his finances. "I don't get involved in my personal. We have funds that run my money," he said, according to comments carried by The Hill.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said in a statement that neither the president nor his family has engaged or will engage in conflicts of interest.
Ethics experts, including Washington University law professor Kathleen Clark, criticized the scale of the president's business income while in office. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren called for legislation restricting the president's family from profiting off cryptocurrency, according to social media posts cited by NBC affiliate coverage.
The Trump Organization has said the president's assets are managed by third-party financial institutions through automated trading systems. This is a developing story.
