CLEVELAND — Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell and Grammy-winning singer Coco Jones have married, ending days of online speculation that began after videos and photographs from a private ceremony circulated widely on social media.
People magazine, citing the couple and wedding coverage released on Monday, reported that Mitchell and Jones were married on Aug. 1 in an intimate ceremony attended by family members and friends, including athletes and entertainers.
The reports followed a surge of online rumors over the weekend as guests shared images and short videos from the celebration. Earlier speculation had not been independently verified, but multiple outlets subsequently confirmed the marriage after obtaining details from the couple's representatives and official wedding coverage.
According to People, the ceremony included close friends and family, with guests including singer Ciara, NFL quarterback Russell Wilson and several NBA players. The couple reportedly exchanged vows after becoming engaged in July 2025 following about two years of dating.
Jones, 28, and Mitchell, 29, kept much of their relationship out of the public eye before confirming their engagement on social media last year. The pair had been the subject of dating speculation after being seen together at public events in 2024 before Jones publicly acknowledged the relationship in early 2025.
In interviews before the wedding, Jones described planning the ceremony as "an indescribable feeling," saying she wanted the event to remain intimate despite both partners' high public profiles.
Mitchell enters the 2026-27 NBA season as the centerpiece of a Cavaliers team expected to contend in the Eastern Conference, while Jones continues her music career following Grammy recognition and a successful debut album. The couple have generally limited public discussion of their private lives, appearing together only occasionally at major events.
