AUGUSTA, Georgia — Golf fans seeking access to one of the sport’s most sought-after events began submitting applications on Monday as the ticket lottery for the 2027 Masters Tournament opened through Augusta National Golf Club’s annual selection process.
The application window opened June 1 and is scheduled to remain available through June 20, according to information published by Augusta National and multiple golf media outlets. Fans can apply online for a chance to purchase tickets for practice rounds, the Par 3 Contest and tournament rounds at the 2027 Masters, which will be held at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia.
The Masters does not sell general public tickets through a traditional first-come, first-served system. Instead, applicants enter a random selection process commonly referred to as the Masters ticket lottery. Those selected are typically notified after the application period closes and are then given an opportunity to complete payment for their allotted tickets.
According to guidance published by golf outlets covering the tournament, applicants must create or use an existing account on the official Masters website before submitting requests. Fans may apply for multiple days, although successful applicants generally receive tickets for only one day through the selection process.
“The application window opens June 1 and runs through June 20,” Augusta National’s ticketing guidance states, according to reports published ahead of the opening of the process.
Masters tickets are widely regarded as among the most difficult to obtain in professional sports because of limited availability and strong demand.
