LOS ANGELES — Major entertainment venues in the United States and other countries are hosting LGBTQ community events throughout June as organizations mark Pride Month with concerts, festivals, parades and cultural programs, according to event organizers and local authorities.
Among the largest gatherings, the City of West Hollywood said its WeHo Pride celebrations included a street fair, parade and the OUTLOUD Music Festival at West Hollywood Park during the first weekend of June. City officials said the events were designed to bring together LGBTQ community groups, allied organizations and visitors for public celebrations and cultural programming.
Festival organizers said the three-day OUTLOUD event featured musical performances and community activities as part of the broader Pride weekend. According to organizers, the festival is intended to welcome LGBTQ attendees as well as supporters and allies. “OUTLOUD is for any and all music lovers who want to amplify and support LGBTQIA+ artists and allies,” organizers said in event information released ahead of the festival.
In Los Angeles, organizers of LA Pride said a week-long schedule of events was planned ahead of the annual parade on June 14. The program included partnerships with sports and entertainment venues, film screenings, skating events and community gatherings across the city, according to Christopher Street West, the nonprofit organization that produces LA Pride.
Other entertainment-focused Pride events were announced in several cities. Organizers in Indianapolis said Pride Weekend programming at Military Park and White River State Park would include music performances and cultural showcases. In Sydney, Qtopia Sydney said Pride Fest 2026 would expand across multiple venues in the Oxford Street precinct and feature arts, theater, comedy, film and community events throughout June.
Internationally, large public Pride gatherings also took place on Saturday. In Seoul, tens of thousands of people attended the city’s annual queer culture festival, according to media reports, despite continuing debate over LGBTQ rights in South Korea. Organizers and participants called for greater visibility and legal protections, while counter-protesters also gathered nearby.
Many of the events coincide with Pride Month observances that commemorate LGBTQ history and advocacy efforts. Organizers across multiple cities said programming this year includes a mix of entertainment, cultural activities, educational exhibits and community outreach.
As of Saturday, additional Pride-related concerts, festivals and public celebrations remained scheduled through the remainder of June at major entertainment venues and public event spaces, according to organizers.
