CUPERTINO, Calif. — Apple and Major League Baseball (MLB) have announced an expanded schedule for their “Friday Night Baseball” streaming package, adding additional regular-season matchups as the companies continue their partnership for exclusive live baseball broadcasts on Apple TV+, according to statements released this month.

The expanded schedule includes additional games through July and builds on the existing 2026 “Friday Night Baseball” lineup, which features exclusive weekly doubleheaders available to Apple TV+ subscribers in multiple countries and regions. Apple said the broadcasts will continue throughout the 2026 regular season as part of the fifth year of the service.

Under the arrangement, Apple holds exclusive rights to two MLB games on Friday nights during a 25-week portion of the regular season. The package includes live game coverage, pregame and postgame programming, and related baseball content available through the Apple TV platform.

Apple and MLB first unveiled the initial 2026 schedule in March, with games running through late June. On June 4, the companies announced additional July matchups, extending the schedule beyond the first half of the season. Details of later-season broadcasts beyond those announced remain unclear.

“‘Friday Night Baseball’ on Apple TV continues to elevate how fans experience the game,” Oliver Schusser, Apple’s vice president of Apple Music, Apple TV, Sports and Beats, said in a statement released by the company in March. Apple said the broadcasts would continue to feature enhanced production tools and coverage available without local broadcast restrictions in participating markets.

MLB said the package remains a central component of the league’s broader media strategy, which includes partnerships with traditional broadcasters and streaming platforms. The agreement between Apple and MLB was extended last year and is expected to continue through the 2028 season, according to announcements from the league and industry reports.

The broadcasts feature returning commentary teams that include play-by-play announcers Wayne Randazzo and Alex Faust, along with analysts Dontrelle Willis and Ryan Spilborghs. Apple and MLB said Rich Waltz will also call select games during the season.

Several teams, including the Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays, are scheduled to appear in the newly announced July broadcasts, according to schedules released by Apple and MLB.
