TOKYO — Nintendo showcased a range of upcoming titles for the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 during its Nintendo Direct presentation on June 9, highlighting new releases, remakes and updates across multiple franchises as the company prepares for the second half of 2026.

The approximately 50-minute event, followed by Nintendo Treehouse: Live gameplay sessions, featured announcements including a remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2, described as a full “rebirth” with updated visuals and modern controls.

Other highlights included Kingdom Hearts IV with gameplay footage and a planned release on Switch 2, a new Xenoblade Chronicles title titled Xenoblade Genesis slated for 2027, and Splatoon Raiders, a Switch 2 exclusive set to launch on July 23.

Nintendo also provided updates on returning franchises, such as new details for Fire Emblem titles, Star Fox content with a free demo launching June 25, and additional third-party support including potential entries from series like Final Fantasy and Onimusha.
